Making the most of our treatment program...

You will derive optimal benefit by beginning with our suggested Four Day Treatment Protocol. Most of our patients prefer this program, and it involves your coming to our offices in the Denver area for four days.

During these four days, we will have the opportunity to provide you with an extensive evaluation, in-office treatments with intravenous nutrition therapy included, and instruction to allow you to continue with your ongoing treatments at home.

BackToLight's Four Day Treatment Program for macular degeneration includes:

• A complete initial evaluation with our medical director, Dr. Terry Grossman. We request that you bring copies of your outside eye records for the doctor's review, either prior to or along with you to your first appointment.
  
  
• A nutritional consultation with our staff.
  
  
• Visual acuity testing and visual field testing.
  
  
• Eight in-office Microcurrent Stimulation (MCS) treatments (two per day), administered with the MCS device that you will use at home.
  
  
• Four 75-minute MCS treatments (one per day) administered with special treatment goggles.
  
  
• Four intravenous nutrient sessions given simultaneously with the MCS treatments.
  
  
• Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Evaluation and Treatment for stress reduction.
  
  
• Complete training and education in home use of the Home Treatment Unit.
  
  
• A complete Home Treatment Unit along with MCS protocol treatment glasses.
  
  
• One month supply of recommended nutritional supplements.
  
  
• A copy of the book Microcurrent Stimulation; Miracle Eye Cure.
  
  
• A Snellen eye chart and Amsler grid for recording progress of your visual improvement at home.
  
  

The average time required for each treatment is two (2) hours total office time per day. You will find your treatment sessions quite pleasant, and relaxing. The intravenous treatments are given simultaneously with the MCS therapies. You may read, or engage in conversation, or enjoy a cup of tea or juice in one of our lounge chairs.

This treatment protocol is ideal due to the one-on-one personal interaction and training, education and treatments you will receive. Our trained MCS staff will get you started so you will be able to perform quality treatments at home for your continued vision improvement.

A typical schedule for the Four Day Treatment Program for macular degeneration - including intravenous nutrition:

• Day One: Initial Evaluation and three MCS treatments ... two special probe MCS treatments and a one hour treatment with the glasses. If you have selected the intravenous therapy option with our treatment program, it will be provided simultaneously with the MCS treatment.
  
  
• Day Two: Nutritional Consult and lecture by Dr. Steve Parcell. Instruction will be provided as to dietary treatments for macular degeneration and what nutritional supplements are of the most value to you. You will also receive three MCS treatments -- two special probe MCS treatments and a one hour treatment with the glasses. If you have selected the intravenous therapy option with our program, it will be provided simultaneously with the MCS treatment.
  
  
• Day Three: Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Evaluation and Training. You will learn specific techniques you can use to help you reduce the stress in your life and help your eyes to heal more quickly. You will also receive three MCS treatments -- two special probe MCS treatments and a one hour treatment with the glasses. If you have selected the intravenous therapy option with our program, it will be provided simultaneously with the MCS treatment.
  
  
• Day Four: Instruction session for follow-up and further home treatments with your own MCS unit and MCS glasses. You will learn how to use and care for your Home Unit and perform your home treatments. You will be provided with a Snellen Eye chart and an Amsler grid to use at home to track your visual improvement. You will also receive three MCS treatments -- two special probe MCS treatments and a one hour treatment with the glasses. If you have selected the intravenous therapy option with our program, it will be provided simultaneously with the MCS treatment.
  
  

Follow-up appointments are recommended every three months for the first year at which time your progress will be monitored and appropriate adjustments made to your program as needed.

For patients from out of state, or for whom travel to our clinics is difficult, please ask about our home treatment program.
